I think this patch will be the starting point to what I want in a SMB3 patch: Luigi having his own sprites. The text of Daisy's letters should be fixed. That aside, it's a fun hack to play. | |||

This is a quite nice patch, especially made for anyone (like me) who wants to play as Luigi, and since it is only a sprite, text and color changes (as stated in the description), expect no levels/overworlds, ASM, music and/or some other fancy stuff modified besides the ones already detailed above. Still, this may be a good base to make a fully modified game, with Luigi as the main character (and maybe with another Luigi, a la Super Mario/Luigi Galaxy). | |||

I can tell when a person puts an effort in a hack, and that's what the author did here. I caught myself going to World 3 even if the levels weren't changed. Playing with Luigi is always a nice change of pace "For us Luigi fans anyway" The hack can be improved though, the levels need to be changed, and the world maps & also the text needs to be changed too. Once the author gets to do these three things, this hack will be a classic. I hope the author will go back to work on it, this hack has potential. | |||
