Pokemon - Gold Version (UE) [C][!]

Hack description

This hack turns the entirety of the game from JOHTO to KANTO into an actual challenge. Building a balanced team and grinding are both highly recommended. Save often.

The difficulty of this hack is not quite on the level of Kaizo Crystal or Blue, but its a good bit harder than the challenge mode included on the newest Pokemon games.
KANTO is considerably harder than JOHTO is as well.

Team Rocket is actually competent.

Wild pokemon in some areas are changed as well.

You will not survive.

Also, there are minibosses everywhere.
If you don't HAVE to fight a trainer (IE: they can be avoided), there's a good chance that trainer is exceptionally strong.

If you're a Nuzlocker, I would avoid this hack.

Not hard but grindy.Incantator2023-01-15Version 2.0

As the title says. For example, trainers at Slowpoke Well have Pokemon lvl +20 but wild Pokemon are of lvl 6-8. Yeap.

The author mentioned that trainers that can be avoided will be often strong, but the problem is, some mandatory ones are prohibitively strong as well relative to the level of wild Pokemon around them. Up to the 1st gym is tame, though. Considering the rather flat exp. curve, one had better stick to one Pokemon which is boring, but even then, you would need to grind wild Pokemon of unadjusted lvl to get through certain points. Even worse, imagine you want to use another Pokemon but have to raise literally triple of its level to do so.

This is not Gen 5 where low-level Pokemon can quickly catch up. Could have been done much better by considering the level scheme of wild encounters. For what it is now, not recommended, just a grindy hack.
