This hack sucks! If the will of the programmer was to make an impossible game then let me say, my friend, that you completely achieve your goal! This hack is unbelievable! I can finish the first Contra without use any continue but this hack has so many enemies, trap and bug that is impossible to complete without using cheats! The 99 lives are totally useless because you'll lose all of these lives at the third level! Even with the Game Genie this game is unplayable! My vote for this Hack is 0/5.

That is other hack that I played with my friend, and we like it! The way that the levels was made is so random, but still cool because is not too hard like the other hacks. I recommend if you isn't a serious player, oh, and don't forget to invite a friend to play with you!
| Feels like a bad Mario Maker level the entire time | Endymian | 2015-12-13 | Version 1.0 |
Contra was the quintessential run-and-gun game of the NES. It was about quick reflexes to dodge and shoot your enemies. Platforming acrobatics were present, but they were used sparingly as a brief break in the action before getting gated to the next impossibly frantic room of bullet hell. When you take that and turn it upside down, the game just isn't fun anymore. I felt like I was playing a badly-rated Super Mario Maker level. You may be saying "It sounds like this guy only played the first level!" and yeah, I did. You know why I stopped? Because I fell through invisible pits in the water to my death. Repeatedly. You know, the water that you can't jump in? There is a reason you are able to set the game to 99 Lives from the beginning. It's not "challenging-fun" hard, this is "bugs make it hard too, right guys?"

I love challenge in games. I can't get enough of it from games of nowadays. This is why I love NES games. ...THIS... is NOT challenge. This is complete bull shit! I've played this hack for about 30 seconds, and I already know its type; nearly impossible jumps, terrain trickery, invisible hazards, and, I'm not even joking, SCREWED SITUATIONS!!! For every bridge, if you fail to make it across properly, you CANNOT progress. It's basically an automatic continue... I don't even need to say anything else. THAT is completely unforgivable! Sometimes, you don't think to go across the bridge, and then it's already too late... you're fucked! It's like a "you chose poorly" situation in all of those SMW hacks! You could make the argument that this is the kind of hack which assumes you're using save states, but, sorry, I don't do that sort of thing. I NEVER use save states. And I certainly won't make an exception for this piece of crap!
