"Better" isn't the Right Word...TheLuigiLightning2018-05-05Version 1.0

While most people absolutely despise Dragon's Lair on NES, some even going as far to say it's the worst game on the system, I've personally always found it perfectly enjoyable! It's a very unique game that's all about trial and error, and I really don't see how this is such a bad thing. The long animations are part of what force you to fail, and try again. Which... isn't that what the original arcade version was like...? Trial and error...? Hitting a button, and hoping it's the right one......?? Ringing any bells? The way I see it, the only difference here is that it's translated to a platforming game.

So coming from the perspective of someone who actually likes Dragon's Lair on NES (which I know I'm greatly in the minority about), I wouldn't call this "better". Especially because it makes it easier, which is generally not a good thing in my mind. But with the perspective of others in mind, you will probably have more fun playing this version if you found the original too clunky and too unforgiving. I personally prefer the original over this, but I can definitely see how others would find this much more tolerable, and just an overall more enjoyable experience.
