Hack description

This hack by dACE converts the Konami Collection Vol. 4 (E) game into a standalone Castlevania II - Belmont's Revenge ROM by auto-booting straight into the game.

You can now enjoy a fully coloured version of this wonderful Gameboy Classic!

As of v1.1, the Autoboot patch includes the familiar Konami logo screen and then goes into the Castlevania title screen.

PS: The IPS already includes the Speed Hacks previously made by Sliver X.

I have no idea why the Konami GB Collections never released in the US, but we definitely missed out on some great Gameboy titles brought to their full potential in color. This is one of those games, and this hack provides the ultimate way to play it. The added speed features make this game even more fun, but the base color expansion and the original Cross subweapon (as opposed to the Axe replacement in the US release of the Gameboy original) are good enough on their own to recommend this hack. Thanks so much to the author for bringing this version to everybody!

This hack includes includes the Sliver X Speed Hacks wich makes the game more playable and by booting into the color version of Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge is great. Hopefully with time more people will know of this game

I enjoy having a standalone color ROM of Castlevania 2:BR. I just named my ROM as Castlevania 2 rather than Konami Collection. I didn't really want to play the other games on the collection anyway.
