| Just makes maxing out bombs and arrows even more tedious | ClaudeDixon | 2021-06-24 | Version 1.0 |
It was already bad enough in the original game where you had to talk over and over to the fairy to slowly max out your items, made even more annoying considering you can only throw 50 rupees at a time when you need 100 per upgrade. I don't see why extending that process by a considerable degree is an improvement, to both casual players and (especially) completionists like me. Besides, the base game's max consumption is more than enough as is. I can't recall 1 single time where I ever ran out when maxed out.

puzzledude has a bad habit of submitting negative reviews of Zelda hacks that he didn't work on himself. This is a great and welcome little addition. It doesn't matter if it's a small edit, it's still a welcome patch for many players. Easily recommended.

Despite the fact that this patch does increase the number of bombs and arrows to 99, you really don't need that much in the original game, while hacks usually use this amount already. The main issue with this patch is not that the author did not know how to do things, it is the simple fact that this basically is a small ASM/HEX edit, not really an independent project. This (for instance) could easily be submitted as a document, or an ASM patch.
