Well-ported, works fine, but breaks the game.BlazeHeatnix2020-05-04Version 1.0

I don't consider this hack to be an improvement on the original game. The reason the Pegasus Boots are like that in AST is because that game had a time limit. It was intended as a mechanic to help the player complete the game faster. Once you remove that timer, these shoes end up breaking the game: in combat, you might as well have god mode on, because endlessly circling around and stabbing enemies makes you nearly unstoppable. A lot of the challenge of the game is gone, and there's a reason they didn't bring this feature back in future games.

What especially bothers me is that both the DX hack and the Redux hack include this without any regard for the consequences.

A well known feature of the Ancient Stone Tablets now also possible in ALttP. This feature allows the player to move, navigate and traverse the landscape faster, while being more efficient in combat as well, since you can change the running ability instantly without the need to wait for another cycle before starting to run anytime you change the direction.
