Hack description

In celebration of the New Year (2017), Puresabe made a ROM hack for Rockman X which changes the game into a one-on-one battle against Storm Eagle (2017 is the Year of the Rooster according to the Chinese lunar calendar, however, Storm Eagle is a close relative).

WARNING! Beat Storm Eagle to reveal a new twist to this hack!

Pushing the limits of what a boss fight can be!Sosuko2021-09-12Version 1.0

This hack blew me away the first time I played it (it was the first New Year's hack from Puresabe I played and I had no idea what to expect). I really don't want to give much away so others can go in blind and enjoy seeing it unfold. At its core, this game is a boss fight with Storm Eagle that celebrates the year of the rooster, but obviously it is not that simple. The fight is complex, challenging, and engaging throughout, leaving you super satisfied after overcoming it with just your buster and dash.

Highly recommend this one. It won't take too long to play through, but it's an awesome experience from beginning to end

Ah, what a fun way to ring in the new year! Storm Eagle has done a little training since 1993 and is chalk full of new tricks for X to handle!

Puresabe did a magnificent job giving Eagle a brand new AI routine and new attacks! It's quite different from the original and very jarring at-points, but still fun and balanced enough for even newer players to enjoy! My only question is... why didn't he hack Mega Man X8 instead...?

But seriously, I recommend this hack. It may be short, but it's a lot of fun!
