This hack is a really solid 6 world (technically 7-ish) hack that maintains a "night aesthetic" throughout. Though this can be a little jarring at first and make it difficult to distinguish platforms from background elements, eventually I was able to adjust OK. Levels are designed well and never become frustratingly difficult, while still offering a decent challenge at points.

The standard fire flower is also replaced by a Hammer Bro suit, which is a neat little change that takes some getting used to. I definitely appreciated how generous the game was with its extra lives. You start the game with 9 lives, and in several levels you'll have access to 1 or more 1-up mushrooms. This of course means less time having to reset to the beginning of the world, which I prefer.

Got to say though, those flying koopas freak me right out! In all seriousness, this game offers a new SMB challenge with a very pleasant and dreamlike atmosphere. Unique enemy designs, awesome colour pallette, unique and satisfying level construction, this game begs to be played more than once and doesn't feel like just "another smb hack"-I love how Toad replaces the flagpole.

You get a complete game with this hack, not just a re-textured smb1 or version with minimal level restructuring. Of all the smb1 hacks I've played, this is one of my favourites. If you haven't, check out Toad's Autumn Adventure (another awesome hack by Teeporage777).
