This is a coffee spoof hack of Super Castlevania IV.

There are some extra patches included

CoffeeHack (Will need the ExpandedROM.ips first): This Hack will add a fiew new graphics and different lore

Expand Super Castlevania IV (U) [!].ips: Will expand your SC4 ROM

dat1nicepatch.ips: Will buff your damage

RemoveHud.ips: Will remove the HUD

Add/Remove LevelSelect.ips: When Starting a new game Press L or R to choose a level. Hold A for fast browsing. Does break Password Screen

sc4RunWithA.ips: This will let you Run in the game when holding A. You can also throw some ItemsFaster when holding A or stay in place when holding L

I had to post after seeing the two "nos", I wonder if they even tried the patches out. For one, the no hud patch is awesome, also the run with "R", and the level select. I didn't try the coffee patch yet but man, these optional patches are really great. The run patch also allows you to jump a bit higher which is really cool. Fantastic work 10 out of 10!! Highly recommended. TIP: You don't have to expand the ROM to apply the optional patches, they work both with standard and expanded. Also, I used this patch with the uncensored hack and it appears to run just fine so far.

I ignored the main coffee patch since the readme didn't really explain what it was and it seemed to rub previous reviewers the wrong way. In my opinion, the level select and run button patches definitely belong in the "Improvement" category. These types of patches are all up to personal taste, so I'm glad the author uploaded these patches even when some people may disagree with them or claim that they can be easily recreated using other tools. Yes somebody could take the time to use the Game Genie patch tools to recreate the level select, but it's convenient to have somebody offer a patch to make it easier to get the same results.

Starting to wonder why the Super Castlevania IV section is beginning to be plagued with lackluster hacks let alone this one placed in the wrong category. Should be a parody instead of an improvement. This 'hack' doesn't offer much other than simple changes that anyone can do in the SCIV editor and with YYCHR. Improvement is far from it. Starting to feel that the Super Castlevania IV section will be plagued with terrible hacks like certain ones found in the Castlevania NES section. I've seen the author of this hack do marvelous stuff but I'm beginning to wonder anymore. Don't even bother messing with this 'hack' at all. Offers nothing of value.
