| A great hack, needs a little more to be perfect! | jordonX97 | 2020-04-24 | Version 1.0a |
This is an excellent Hack, tried it out today and its amazing! It does what its meant to do, Make Zero Playable and it does it greatly with even the Z saber fully functional and balanced! With that in mind it needs just a bit more to be perfect!: 1. An Air dash or at least a double Jump: the leg upgrades do nothing and it feels off because of that, when going for the Shoryuken I had to either cheat to walk on the spikes or let enemies hit me so I could get across and that just doesn't sit right. With an air dash it'll bring back in the fair challenge. 2. Changing Shoryuken sprite to Ryuenjin: I think the Shoryuken sprite is fine as is and works as its supposed to, but to add that extra Zero Flavor I think Changing it to Ryuenjin from X4 would be a great idea personally! 3. Fighting Copy Zero: seeing Zero Destroy the Copy Zero was always cool in X2 and how they fought, now thats Zero is Playable I feel having the Black Copy Zero as a boss would be a great opportunity to have this boss fight. Thats all I really have to say other than that; excellent Hack that gets the job done. Go play this yall!!
| Good; but needs some improvement | LuckySylveon | 2020-03-14 | Version 1.0a |
The hack looks exactly as expected. Playing as Zero was always a must for those old games; however there are certain assets that need to be checked. Starting with armor itself; it doesn't matter if you collect the foot upgrade; you don't get an air dash nor a double jump (which would be interesting) rendering the only upgrades (or just one to be more precise) important; being it the armor to receive the G. Crush (cause the helmet doesn't bring much importance even in the vanilla game). It would be interesting to make the upgrades more unique; maybe lowering the damage from the standard buster and sword and then when you receive the buster upgrade; you would recieve an increased damage output; the boots upgrade would give the air dash or double jump. Palettes are somewhat weird when using the color version (maybe it can't be fixed) but it would be nice to get those being more unique. Otherwise the replacement in sprite is awesome; good job by the way.
| Very cool looking but still needs more polishing | MiniComputer | 2020-03-11 | Version 1.0a |
As the title states, this is a really good graphics zero hack, especially zero being playable now. Weapon change style is pretty good, could use some more work such as, speed burner, silk shot. The hack kind of feels sluggish at times, don't know if it's zero's graphics or the rom itself. Charge shot levels is pretty good, howwever doing a double shot with z slash may cause a problem. Zero charge saber slash is abit too op and defeats the purpose of having a good fair fight with the ai. Given that, if you always wanted a good quality zero mmx2 hack, this would be the way to go. This works fine on fusoya's version of zsnes and snes9x 1.60. (Latest Version)
