Hack description

The Age of Light wanes as the King of Devils, Zeon, is once again unsealed. Every encounter shifts the balance and brings the world further into darkness.

It's a modification of the game where the more you battle the weaker your party becomes.

-Characters join at lvl 30 promoted

-Enemy defeat exp no longer based on level

-After gaining 100 exp characters will de-level

Here's a mod I made one week for fun, and thought I might share it and let people see the minimum party needed to beat it. I added a Caravan in Granseal/New Granseal to dump unneeded characters into, and after playing it myself included a version with a 33exp cap for kills (to ease from the original 50exp).

Fun concept but not that good an ideaWanderingHero2021-10-28Version 1.0

So first off for whatever reason this hack doesn't seem to work with gens.

But starting it up its an amusing idea and something I've wanted to see: an RPG where you level down instead of up. However SF2 is not the best game for that. In practice optimal play just means soloing maps with characters you wont want in your final team (Chester and Kiwi or such) until their too weak to do so. Your characters start at lv30 promoted, albeit with the same crappy weapons they'd begin the game with, but the enemies are unchanged, so the early battles are about Chester than Kiwi mindlessly sweeping the enemy.

Fun concept but I can't recommend.
