Hack description

The samples used in Bomberman II (or Dynablaster in Europe) were recently discovered to be corrupted due to an encoding issue known as bit reversal. This hack restores said samples to their original glory.

The patch works for all 3 versions (JP, USA, EU) of the game. You will need an IPS patch installer to patch the rom such as Lunar IPS.

Before this patch came out, I had no clue that one of my favorite games on the NES had broken audio samples (the only time I heard about those was in Double Dribble). Then, it turns out the bomb explosion sound and some of the music don't sound as intended, and that's why I went to download this hack right away. Not much to say, it works very well!

Recommended. And if you'd like to see what I mean by "corrupted samples", well check out the game's page at TCRF so you can hear the audio samples yourself. Or use the hidden sound test in the game. The choice is yours.
