As a kid I was always disappointed by the original Genesis port of Mortal Kombat. When the Linkuei hack came out I was super happy about how much it corrected. But there were a few things that were left that Rael GC has been slowly correcting with each revision of his Arcade Edition Enhanced Hack that had been on my wish list. Things that I had contacted Billy time to help me with before Rael GC had released his hack... The one thing that this hack lacks is the satisfying blood physics of the arcade. Anyone familiar with the Arcade original knows what I'm talking about. I am hoping that Rael may correct this last glaring issue where Billy and I failed. So Rael GC, buddy, if you are reading this, I'm more than happy to help with this endeavor and share what knowledge Billytime and I learned. This hack is near perfect in my opinion, aside from this one thing. But should you play it in its current form? You bet your sweet battered and bruised behind!!! And Rael, my man, you know what you gotta do now... Arcade blood animations and physics... FINISH HIM!!!

If the original Mortal Kombat Arcade Edition was very good then this is like a revision released later on down the line if anything is to go off of.

I recommend this hands down! Go and play if you haven't. What are you waiting for? Earthrealm is at risk of losing the tournament unless you do something about it!

When I think about the hours of play that I poured into the original MD port, wishing, hoping, squinting my eyes and pretending that it was as good as the arcade, THIS brings a tear to a middle-aged man's eyes.

Every improvement, from Sub Zero's stance to Shang Tsung clapping and turning his head in his throne is like a gift. All those changes...If you know, you know!

I'd even go so far as to say that all the menu options lift this above even the arcade.

I'm playing this on a PS Classic, but I'd love to get my old MD out and give it an original hardware whirl.

With those little touches looks great. I think it will be cool if you can edit the color pallette of the Test Your Might screen to be more Arcade accurate.

I've been enjoying this hack, it has given an old game some new lungs. I hope at some point we will get a more arcade accurate life bar, but that's a minor thing honestly. Everything in this is top notch.
