Hack description

If these screenshots resemble you playing Getsu Fuuma Den, this may be the hack for you! This EasyType hack makes the game substantially easier, without removing all challenge. Patch files are included that work with (at least) the Japanese, RPGe, and Nebulous Translations versions.

What is changed, you ask?

Upon returning to the overworld, all health is restored.

Upon losing all lives and continuing the game, money is no longer halved.

XP is doubled for all enemies. You should reach max sword level shortly before you could potentially obtain a more-powerful weapon.

The purchasable sword will now be active at all times once obtained, with no need to equip it; it won't become deactivated, either.

Getsu Fuuma Den is no easy title. The player's short attack range and floaty jump make it difficult sometimes to handle various enemy barrages. This hack helps mitigate that fact, especially the health reset after each level. The XP boost is great too, as it reduces grinding by a TON. Not having to worry about grinding for health or XP is greatly appreciated, and vital to how much fun you might have with a playthrough of this game. Not having to equip the Rock Sword every time you need to destroy obstacles is just the icing on the cake. Without a doubt, players should use this hack if they wish to try out this challenging Famicom game.
