| This mod is essential to the ALTTP experience! | Wolfric | 2024-06-06 | Version 2.0 |
This is amazing. It would've been enough with just 1 extra shortcut, but this modder went beyond! I'm definitely not bothering with more than 2 shortcuts, as my peanut-sized brain would just get confused with more than that, but the fact this option exists is wonderful. UPDATE: This is NO longer an issue now that we even get a small screen that shows the shortcuts when holding either L or R down respectively. This mod has become essential to play this game! Wish something like this existed for Link's Awakening games on the Gameboy!
| Great hack, however... | ThatEntityGirl | 2023-12-07 | Version 1.0 |
The hack works great usually. Being able to throw out up to 9 items at any given time is incredible. It makes you so flexible, and it makes using items so much more accessible. I use them more than I ever have playing the game normally, just because I don't have to fiddle around in menus every two seconds. I find it hard to go back to the vanilla game after playing this. However, there is a strange bug that's very damning for this hack. Whenever you first load a save file you will be unable to use any items at all via both quick commands and selecting them. It seems to fix itself whenever you lift up a pot and throw it, so it's simple enough to fix. However, for a hack whose entire point of existing is to allow me to use any items I want whenever I want, having it do the exact opposite sometimes is pretty bad. If you can ignore that bug though, then definitely give this hack a shot for your next ALttP playthrough.
| Add temporary header when patching | r1ggles | 2023-04-26 | Version 1.0 |
Just a headsup that I couldn't get this to work until I ended up using an online patcher and checking the add header option. But other than that this hack is excellent, it feels so much more snappy to switch between your gear with shortcuts. Would love to have this same function in BS Zelda Stone tablets and Zelda hacks, it's great.
| Crazy hack! | Nintenja | 2023-02-19 | Version 1.0 |
Bringing pc game style control to a SNES game was not something I expected but ended up awesome. The game being A Link to the Past makes this even better. This hack was well implemented and does what it set out to do. Great work.
