Great for Fans of the Original!Mother Kojiro2023-11-27Version 1.1

This hack is mostly visual, and results are a little mixed. A lot of the palettes aren't necessarily better, so much as different, and while I prefer some over the original, it is overall a less consistent aesthetic. Some of my favorite changes are the regular green jungle and the gray mecha city. Also, the new design for Hedorah is absolutely horrifying, so great job there! There is some new music, but I prefer the original, though I've played the original countless times, so maybe that's my bias from just being too used to it.

That all said, Mothra doesn't suck now! That might be worth the price of admission alone, because Mothra always had potential, but nothing else; now, she's fast, and her poison powder has been greatly improved. I found myself blasting through stages with her, and at one point, some poor positioning on my part caused her to be attacked by Gigan. I was a little worried at first, but she TORE HIM TO SHREDS; she's not the ideal choice for every boss, but that's the point: there's some balance now, meaning there are valid strategies other than "use Godzilla for EVERYTHING". It seems like the leveling system was tweaked a bit, too; I was still maining Godzilla, but Mothra's levels did a good job of keeping up with his.

Overall, while this doesn't replace the original, it makes a nice companion.

Good, but it needs more fixes and updates.LasanyaCat7862023-06-19Version 1.1

A good romhack for such a low-impact game breathes new life into it, but it has few changes to make the game less boring. Yeah, it was fun to play as a reworked Mothra at first, but the game still feels raw because that's where the changes end (besides new palettes and graphics). But honestly, I recommend playing it and keeping an eye out for new updates (if there are any).
