Uninvited was one of the 3 Macventure games for the Macintosh, ported to the NES. It's a very different style from your typical video game which comes to mind; it's a point and click style adventure game, where you have a visual of your surroundings, and you have a number of different options at any given time.

You can examine your surroundings, pick up items, and use them for certain purposes. It's never easy to know for sure which ones actually have a use and which ones are just there to confuse you.

The game takes place in sort of a haunted house setting, and you're constantly having to deal with the undead residence. It's very atmospheric, and definitely gives quite a freaky vibe.

There are so many different ways to die, that it's almost comical. (Including "Use Axe on Self"). When you pick up items, you'd think that you'll just know the right time to use it, but it's really not obvious, and sometimes it's just mind boggling what you have to use it for... sometimes you really just have to try everything to figure it out.

It's really satisfying when you figure out what the heck you're supposed to do. Exploring the mansion is a lot of fun, and your drive to save your sister is always driving you to figuring it all out! (I'm completely BS-ing you, no one cares about the sister).

You should really give this game a try. It's arguably an acquired taste, but you can really have a blast with this game, and it's also high potential for ROM hacking. I'm surprised more people haven't hacked this game. Give it a shot!
