| Great hack, lots of fun. still a few bugs | MrEng1neer | 2014-06-29 | - |
I love this hack. Everything was redone so it's exploring and discovering all over again. It felt like I was playing the original again. There are still some bugs that need to be fixed. Once in a while you came out of a passage (burned bush type) and end up in the water. I just recommend you save before entering someplace new. The purchase bombs are also still bugged, so it'll take your coins and empty your bombs. The worst is the 2nd dungeon in the 2nd quest is bugged, so you can't get (what i assume is) the raft. Therefore you are stuck in the beginning area, can only access the first 3 dungeons (and beat 2). I would love to continue this hack if someone can fix it again. That being said, just being able to play the first quest completely new was completely worth it.
| Best hack so far. | Darklink7884 | 2014-03-12 | - |
Great hack. The overworld was almost completely revamped. The dungeons, however, have only very few new block and statue arrangements if any. Instead of playing Link, the player gets to play Princess Zelda and rescue Link at the end of the quest (normally, it's the other way around). Another insteresting twist is that the dungeons are not numbered, but they are identified by symbols of the Zodiac. This change is my least favorite, but as long as you know which dungeon is next, this shouldn't be too much of a problem. THere is also some backtracking, meaning you have to leave one dungeon and go to another just to get the needed items, then come back at it later. The hard part is finding the dungeons, but as long as you know what's needed it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Unfortunately, the dungeon that has the Raft in the second quest is bugged making the game unsolvable. Hopefully the author will get around to fixing it some day. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons, so I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for a challenge.
| Great Hack But Still Needs Bug Fixing | Gotham | 2013-08-18 | - |
I want to start by thanking Chris Miller for fixing the Lv. 3 bug. I have spent many hours on this wonderful hack, but there are a few bugs that still need fixing. Some secret places where you either bomb or use the candle to find allows you to enter but when you get out you are stuck in the mountains or some other place where you are unable to move. I also beat the boss from level 8 but can't seem to get the tri-force. I have mapped out the level and still can't seem to get access to that tri-force. I am hoping these bugs can get fixed.
