Here is a major ASM hack which allows you to play as Mario in the Airman world of MegaMan II! It is only one stage but it is an entertaining hack and shows what can be done with hard work done! The graphics on AirMan may be garbled but it will not effect play-through. There are two versions of this patch. One which is just the AirMan stage and the other which integrates some of the first stage of Super Mario Bros. into it which makes for more of a challenge. Enjoy!Screenshots

Dang this hack is stunning! The new graphics are jaw-dropping and the gameplay tweaks are well done! The only version I played was the Airman-level only hack, but I still had a fun time for the short amount of gameplay I was given. Thankfully, none of the game's graphics were garbled on my NES classic, and I enjoyed every bit of the new challenges presented by Airman's stage. I would have preferred the real Airman's stage music, but the new music in this hack is also pretty good. The whole thing makes me want a full Super Mario. Bros hack based on Mega Man 2....... I hope it happens someday! | |||

For the first time, I have come across unusual hack templates. It's just wonderful. BEAUTIFUL IN THE BEST SENSE OF THE WORD. This is one of the most awesome hacks ever conceptualized! Bringing Mario with the game mechanics from his first NES adventure into the realm of Mega Man is without a doubt a wondrous delight to both the Mario fan and the Mega Man fan. There are two patches provided which each containing a unique level that will bring a smile to an NES player's face. Both of which are nostalgic and hard as nails. The first patch contains Air Man's level straight from Mega Man 2 and is faithfully recreated. While it takes some getting used to using Mario mechanics in a Mega Man level are a bit daunting at first, but within seconds everything just flows fluently like water. The second patch starts off as a recreation of the first level in SMB with backdrops from the Air Man stage; however, it quickly turns into a radically new level with sprinkles of twists from both games mixed in. In the end, this is one of the finest hacks out there. Highly recommended. | |||
