Rockman 3 Claw - I just hate such creations, BUT...diablo6662021-11-16Version 1.0

...My God, this is a good job, TO MY SURPRISE.

I asked a fan of ROM hacks: "Roevsky, please tell me, what good hacks would you recommend from the classic parts of Mega Man?"

He told me many things. This one, too. I did NOT trust this with CONFIDENCE.

I played it myself, and, oh my God, it's a good hack. Not perfect, but good.

The graphic part of the game is well drawn. Enemies - have a unique or different behavior. Abilities - updated and have become special in their own way. The bosses are brilliantly rewritten, which already "opened a second wind". Only with music - a complete mess. They took what they could from where. Even some did not fit into the environment of the level.

But, honestly, the drive of the levels, the tricks of the bosses and the test of reaction - really gave a Positive and in some way Adrenaline. The complexity is done correctly. Hence the conclusion is: "I recommend you to familiarize yourself, but be careful!" I recommend it to those who lack something new.

Comments: The final game of the Claw trilogy continues the streak of high quality that the series is known for, turning Mega Man 3 into a new experience. Unfortunately out of the three Claw games it feels like Claw 3 alters its base game the least (the weapons could've used some shake-ups) but this really isn't a problem if you're a fan of the base game and enjoy it as-is. The best part is the bosses, as the 8 robot masters and the Wily goons have all undergone interesting adjustments that make most fun to fight even with the mega buster (besides Gamma, but I don't think I've ever experienced a good Gamma fight.) When I think of Tsukikiro I tend to think of fun hacks with a dash of challenge sprinkled in, and in this regard Claw 3 doesn't disappoint. If you pick it up, you're bound to have a short but swell time.

Unique and ChallengingSosuko2021-08-07Version 1.0

I really enjoyed this hack. It changes nearly all enemy AI, boss AI, and levels to be far more engaging and challenging. None of it goes too far in terms of cheapness though, and even without subtanks, it's definitely possible to beat every robot master with the buster. The general speed of the game is also boosted, with quick menu switching, ladder climbing, weapon switching, and attacks. It still feels very true to the feeling of the original while offering a fresh challenge for veterans of the series. Highly recommend!

Like Lightning in Your Shorts!Mother Kojiro2017-12-01Version 1.0

This hack is intense! Everything is in super speed, and it is exhilarating. The level design is great, too; it revolves around this faster speed, and so many things are so consciously placed, and enemy behavior has also been altered to accommodate this. That accursed Yellow Devil (now blue) now moves several sections at a time, presenting an engaging challenge, rather than a tediously long wait just to maybe hit him once or twice. Weapons are in completely new palettes, and act differently, as well, and they're often better suited to battle your foes. The music is appropriately amped up, with tunes from Double Dragon 2, Batman, River City Ransom, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, and more. The Doc Robot stages also have new music: Heart of Enker and Get the Punk Out from the special stages of Mega Man 10, and what could be more appropriate to reference than the most intense Mega Man stages I've ever played in an official game. Perhaps my favorite is Magnet Man's stage, which has a pretty decent chiptune rendition of the music from the Genocide Heart battle from SaGa Frontier. The levels look great, too; Gemini Man's stage begins with a beautiful alien mountainscape, and Needle Man's stage is a dark volcanic nightmare. I'd recommend this hack to anyone looking for some high-speed action.

A nice Rockman 3 hack with understandable difficultyPlint Michigan2014-01-03-

Nothing ruins a Megaman hack more than near impossible spike-pit obstacles and cheap shots and long sections of death lasers longer than the flash stopper can hold out or even inside Flash Man's stage. In a nutshell: Excruciating difficulty is the bane of many hacks.

Not this one, though. This hack keeps it fair while still producing a nice, challenging level of difficulty. It's hard, but it's fun hard. Many of the enemy patterns have changed. Some are harder to deal with, some are easier. The bosses are difficult, but beatable: Especially with the right weapons. You'll likely need some Energy Tanks for the later fights, but fortunately they come relatively easy. The graphics and music are also pretty well made, and give off a dramatic feel almost comparable to Megaman X 2.

Overall, if you're a fan of Megaman hacks, check this one out.
