Hack description

I'd like to thank all of the people who reached out to me and reported the bugs in this game, every thing that was fixed is a step closer to helping me fix this game.

The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Power, is a Zelda 1 hack that takes place after 2 years after Zelda 2. It is the first in the Zelda: Triforce Power Saga, which will be a 3 part trilogy of games. Also, this hack will be much harder than the original Zelda game, so it won't be easy, probably harder than Zelda Outlands.

(PS. I forgot to mention this Zelda hack only has one quest).

Story:

Two years after Zelda 2, peace has finally returned to Hyrule Kingdom. Until the evil emperor of darkness Onox finds a way to bring Ganon back to life using the power in the Triforce of Courage. So Onox, sucks all of the power out of the Triofrce of Courage and kidnaps Princess Zelda, and threatens to murder her if Link tries to stop him. Luckily Zelda hid the 8 fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom and sends Link a message saying he must find the 8 fragments of the Triforce to stop Onox from bringing Ganon back to life, and this will be Link's hardest challenge yet.

Features:
-New Graphics
-New Overworld
-New Dungeons
-New Item Swap Mechanic (Press Select to use).
-New Dungeon and Title Screen Music.
-Ability to purchase important items that would normally be in dungeons.
-Clues to tell you where to bomb the dungeon walls.
-and more.

New Features & updates in version 3.6:
-Faster Text (with no glitches).
-Warp Caves work now.
-Dungeons no longer freeze.
-Item Letter cave no longer freezes.
-Dungeons Bosses don't look glitched anymore.
-The Magic Key is accessible in Level 8 now.
-All Dungeons have a compass and a map now.
-Fixed the name selection screen.
-Fixed a glitch in Level 6 where you cant get the wand.
-Fixed a glitch where you cannot get the raft in Level 5.
-You can now get the Magic Shield in Level 8

Feel free to report any bugs, hope you enjoy my game.

From,

ActionGamer

A Mixed BagOfficialMayDL2023-08-17Version 3.6

First off, I love the concept of the game. Remixing everything can be really fun. That being said, this hack suffers. A LOT.

There are difficulty spikes in areas that are already massively difficult. Some of these rooms are just "abuse rooms", designed to do NOTHING but drain the player's health. Two statues shooting fireballs in a room FULL of blue Wizrobes (like at least 7) isn't a "challenge". It's just straight up meant to kill you and stop your progress.

And then having these fireball statues attack you during some of the hardest bosses (which the bosses DEFINITELY got tweaked to be harder) isn't a challenge. It's just straight-up abuse and assault.

Also, there is NO sense of direction or exploration in this. The entire map is just a series of tunnels, it feels like. You'll revisit the same map areas over a hundred times JUST to find out where something as simple as Dungeons 3 and 4 are. Which, by the way, are in VERY unintuitive spots. And you'll often forget where things are because you're relearning the entire map.

Too many people are giving the same hints, also. I shouldn't have to pay 3 different people for the same hint of how to get to Dungeon 2.

There ARE positives, though, like you don't HAVE to buy anything important except the Raft, which needs an item location fix (it's LITERALLY impossible to grab; it's IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AIR).

If the difficulty was scaled down a bit to not include abuse rooms, and some things were fixed, then I would 100% recommend this hack.

Also, there is a MAJOR glitch over by where you're supposed to go for Dungeon 9. After you reveal it, Link is able to walk on any tile of the map for that screen. It can trap you permanently (or until you reset) if you're not careful. Or, if you attempt to go West or North, it will just warp you to the beginning (which is a good failsafe).

But please, learn the difference between "difficult" and "torture"/"abuse" in your room designs. Some of these just felt like they were supposed to just straight-up destroy the player and their spirit. Even though Dungeon 9 is supposed to be tough, it's the NUMBER OF ROOMS WITH FIREBALLS that need to be reduced more than anything.

Also, had ZERO clue where the second sword was (IF it's even in the game). Also couldn't find a map for one of the dungeons.

5/10. The pieces are there. Just need to polish, refine, and maybe reduce the spike in difficulty slightly, and you'd have yourself a PERFECT hack.

A lot of potential, but too many errorsultimaweapon2020-08-18Version 3.6

There a a number of positives to this game.

  • 1- Graphics
  • 2- Music
  • 3- Ability to purchase major items
  • 4- Ability to purchase heart containers
  • 5- Control still feels smooth

The game does feel like it could be a new Zelda experience. But there a number of negatives that until they are fix, they outweigh the positive.

1- There are too many areas where the text is totally garbled. You can't learn how to escape the Lost Woods or the Lost Mountains to get to Dungeon 2. I have to use a WTW cheat to find it.

2- Not all the weapons are located in this game namely the Magical Boomerang unless it's in Dungeon 6. More on that later.

3- There are areas in the game where there is no escape like Dungeon 4 which forces you to use Controller 2 save feature and restart.

4- There are too many areas where the game freezes, and you have to restart. None of the over world warp points work. The game freezes when you try to use one. There are plenty of caves that the game freezes when you try to leave. There's a room in Dungeon 5 where the game freezes making the game virtually unbeatable since you'll never finish the dungeon for the Triforce piece thus can never enter Dungeon 9.

If these issues get fixed, this would be a stellar hack, but until they are, I can't recommend anyone play it because they could never finish it.

Update: The hacker has since made updates to this game, and it's now well worth playing. My only suggestion is to remove items from dungeons that were made purchasable and replace them with other items.

Played through a considerable amount of this hack yesterday. Here are some positives and negatives:

Pos.

  • New music selection for dungeons
  • Some of the overworld edits feel great and fresh/new
  • Dungeons are overhauled quite a bit and feel very new
  • Many items are purchasable, which is a good change

Neg.

  • I very much disliked the new graphics. Some of the dungeon ones were good, but overall, aside from a few sprite changes for enemies / items, I really think this would be better without changing much, particularly the dungeons, which were REAL rough on the eyes at times.
  • Bombable walls were glitchy and looked funny
  • Text issues galore. Couldn't read much text

Conclusion is that we need more Zelda hacks and this author has the skills to either improve this or make another one that is even better.
