Hack description

This patch gives General Leo a recolored sprite that more closely matches his concept art and character portrait, including giving him a darker skin tone.

This patch does not modify any palettes; Leo's new sprite was made using Palette 3 with the same colors as the original game. Thus, only Leo will be affected by this patch and no other sprites will be modified.

Note that because this patch also reassigns Leo a new palette for instances where he is an NPC, it is not compatible with the "General Leo Edition" mod, as that mod gives Leo new appearances and scenes that this mod does not modify. Additionally, Leo will look a bit odd if he is afflicted with a status ailment, due to how the game handles the palettes in those circumstances.

Patch is for an UNHEADERED rom; works with either 1.0 or 1.1 versions.

I appreciate this! Very few know that Leo is the first canonical black character in Final Fantasy. Too bad his in game sprite didn't reflect it (I think because, as legend has it, the sprites were made before Yoshitaka made the artwork, hence also Celes' varying outfits). I always wished there were more diverse ethnicities in old JRPGS, aside from the occasional furry race. So this is a nice little palette edit.
