Hack description

Imagine if instead of Super Mario Bros., they had created a 4th Donkey Kong game with the same gameplay...

This game contains a redesigned World 1 and assets from the classic Donkey Kong games, Mario Bros., and Wrecking Crew. Mario must climb the ladder at the end of each level to make it to 1-4 where he must rescue Pauline.

Donkey Kong 4 is a rom hack of Super Mario Bros. released on the NES made to match the art style and aesthetic of the classic Donkey Kong trilogy. In my opinion, it looks like the early concepts and versions of Super Mario Bros. seen in prerelease material. I'm a sucker for that stuff, so I like this.

It's a well made hack, you'll have a blast going through the levels. I play this hack every couple of days, and I always get caught in the same spots, but it's cool. I hope that Signal Beam updates this hack, like add one level where you only gotta dodge Donkey Kong Jr.'s barrels. Otherwise play this hack, you'll dig it.
