| Not as hard as you'd think | eskimo44 | 2020-08-10 | Version 2.3 |
It's an excellent rom hack. If you're going for 100% you need to be really good but it's very beatable with 50-60% of items and there's tons to find. It's a really great hack. I wish some stuff was a little more accessible but if you've beaten all the official 2D Metroids, AM2R, and Hyper then I'd suggest this is a great choice. Top 5 Hack without a doubt IMO, it's scope is crazy impressive.
| This is not like Metroid Zero Mission on GBA | MiniComputer | 2019-09-03 | Version 2.3 |
A very challenging but extremely fun game! It takes Metroid 1, Metroid: Zero Mission and Super Metroid and mashes into one big game! The Level layout, graphics, and recoloring and new enemies make this a gem to remember. Its very easy to get lost when you get down to Kraid's area. Having a good memory of playthroughs of MZM and SM will help in a lot of ways. Be sure to take breaks as you will be playing it for more than a week. I suggest using snes9x for this rom hack, zsnes does work, but it has its problem with it. Give it a go if you like the original Metroid: Zero Mission game and Super Metroid!
| Challenging, but VERY good | robneal81 | 2015-02-26 | Version 2.3 |
This game is pretty hard, but not one of those impossible fanhacks...it's definitely beatable without cheating. Also, I never use savestates and this game has reasonable save points, making it fun to play on real hardware. It drove me insane for awhile, but I always wanted to keep going back. This one's a 10 hour+ game though. Part of the reason it's so long is the map is HUGE. Sometimes it took ten minutes just to walk from where you are to where you need to be. One good thing about the game, is there's a bunch of "side quest" type of things (such as getting the x-ray scope) that aren't required to beat the game. Important Tips:
Overall, I really, REALLY liked it...but it's definitely not easy!
