| Fixes one of the worst parts of the game | PRG | 2023-10-25 | Version 1.0 |
It does exactly what it sets out to do. The mermaid suit patch makes the underwater sections more palatable by removing the control pad waggle. I didn't try the waves patch because I never found the waves to be an issue, personally, but the option is at least there. One thing to note is that there is a constant, low-pitched droning noise while in the water, that seems to be caused by the swimming SFX to be played at a constant rate. Not terribly distracting, but it does affect anything that uses that sound channel, such as the music and other sound effects. Perhaps a future revision could mute or remove the sound effect.
| A move changer! | CMDreamer | 2023-10-15 | Version 1.0 |
I'm playing this game just recently and got the Mermaind Suit/Tail; controls make a little complex to move while underwater, as well as using some items (like the Power Bracelet). This will allow me to have a better control over Link. A real deal! Thanks!
| A Necessary Blessing On My Thumbs! | SwiftlyTony360 | 2023-10-14 | Version 1.0 |
Having tested both features, I can say they work wonderful. I've always hated the swimming mechanic on Ages! Had to rest my thumbs occasionally because of exhaustion. Constantly tapping would give me slight thumb joint pain. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you! Now for the water waves, it's a great feature for those who may get dizzy from the animation. I never had that issue, so having that as an option separate from swimming is fantastic. For those who still want the wavy animation with good swimming, you now have the best of both worlds!
