Super Koopa RPG is an amazing hack that feels like SMRPG at its core but manages to have its own identity by having an interesting original story with its own unique elements. The fact that it uses a lot of elements from the first three Paper Mario games is also nice to see. Every area (except for the Mushroom Kingdom) is also brand new (or has been redone in the case of Bowser's keep) The balance is surprisingly good. While some fights are more difficult than others, I never felt like they were frustratingly difficult and I never needed to grind. The addition of extra side content like hunts and secret areas also helps the game feel less linear because you always have an incentive to go back to previous areas or explore every nook and cranny of every area. Overall if you're looking for an SMRPG hack that feels fresh and original, I recommend checking this out. | |||

Surpassed my expectations. Combat balance is extremely solid, challenging at times but open to multiple approaches. Enemies are interesting. Skills and equipment are thoughtfully designed. Every character has a chance to shine, as do most specials. It's not a story-heavy hack, but the writing is actually pretty good, and the jokes about quirks of the original game land well. The beginning can feel a little slow/bland but it picks up quickly. It's worth giving this one a chance - it's a pretty superb hack overall. | |||

I'm about half way, and it's genuinely funny and entertaining, the author really captured the sense of humor of the OG game. A few bugs but nothing game breaking. I would loove to see slight differences between the Koopa Bros. (Maybe Green being slightly bigger so he looks like a physical powerhouse). Sideways sprite for the Koopas feel a little off. Play this game and have some fun. | |||

Just finished the game. All hidden items, max lvl, side quests etc, all done. Just an awesome game! Plays and feels like a Mario RPG game. The animations are nice, but could be a little smoother. They are not bad, but some are a little off. Same with some textures and colors. Despite that, the game is very well balanced. EXP wise, items, equips, progression, everything is well made. Congratz to the hacker creator, this is the best Mario RPG romhack yet (as 06/2024). Very very well done and fun game. The hidden bosses are really strong, and a nice challenge. It is a free full new game. 10/10 | |||
